Our Disney World Florida Vacation

We took a last minute trip home this winter, which was actually summer in the US to visit family in Pittsburgh, PA. We spent the last week of our trip mostly in Orlando, Florida. We took the kids to Disney World, which was so much fun, but terribly hot, humid and crowded in late July. This was the girl's first visit to Orlando's park. The last time Matt and I went, we didn't have kids, so we zipped all around the park and rode everything. Now as parents, we surely had to pace ourselves more and be very patient in the long lines. We stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort, which was awesome. The kids especially loved the pool games. We went to Downtown Disney, which has lots of shopping and restaurants. We went to Magic Kingdom the second day and made sure to stop at the Bippidi Boppidi Boutique, where the girls had their hair and make up and nails done. We went from open to close and stayed for the parade and fireworks, which was so worth it. The third day we went to Typhoon Lagoon water park, which was a great relief from the heat! Great water park for all ages. We ended the day at The Grand Floridian having dinner with Cinderella and friends. We made the best of the heat and the crowds and had the best time. The kids already keep asking when we are going back :)

Gia was SUPER excited to meet her favorite princess, Merida!

The girl's got to choose their own hair style and make up. Gia chose to not wear a princess dress....sigh. She is getting too big too quickly!

Waiting in line for Splash Mountain. Kenley was very nervous, but ended up loving it!
Can't even see Kenley in the pic, she is so small, lol!

Our saving grace...a place for the kids to sit when their were tired of walking and spraying water fans.
