Thanksgiving 2013 in South Africa

This was our third year celebrating Thanksgiving in South Africa. We hosted a dinner, which ended up being about 26 people. We had so much fun! We are really like a little family here and it was so nice to celebrate the holiday with great friends. Not to mention all of the delicious food that everyone made, YUM!

Kenley's Monkeynastix Awards Day

Kenley has been doing Monkeynastix at school this year, which is very similar to gymnastics and she has really LOVED it! We are so happy that she will be able to continue with it at her new school next year :)

Kenley's Dance Mouse Assessments

Kenley had her Dance Mouse Assessments this month and she did spectacular! She loves performing and as shy as she is around people, she sure lets it all go when she is on a stage. She was so excited to perform with her friends and they all did such a great job!

Hermanus, South Africa

We took a trip to beautiful Hermanus, this November, while we had Matt's brother and wife visiting. It was such a nice time. First of all, Hermanus is truly tranquil and beautiful. While there, we were able to do a lot of whale watching, spotting Southern Right Whales. They were amazingly close to the shores and beautiful. A great surprise was our first day, within a few minutes of hitting the beach, we were greeted by a baby fur seal. He was so adorable! We were surrounded by stunning views, beaches and delicious food. The beach house we stayed in was really great as well and right across from the beach.

The highlight of our trip to Hermanus though was shark diving. Matt and his brother dove with great white sharks in the cold ocean waters. They had a great experience and their cage was even charged by a large shark, which they caught on film.
