Moving to South Africa

Moving to South Africa from Pittsburgh, PA ended being quite a journey. Between packing up a home, family of four and two dogs in five weeks. Then, selling everything that wouldn't fit into our storage facility, we still had to endure the fifteen hour flight to SA. It was a long flight full of excitement, curiosity, nervousness and a lot of anxiety on my end, but we made it!

We stayed in temporary housing for the first five weeks, while we searched for a house and schools. We then were fortunate enough to find a house in a secure estate, where a lot of other US ex-pats also stay.
Let the journey begin…

At least we were comfy in business class.
If you could read my mind at this moment, you would laugh….

This was our temporary home until we found another.
